Korea runs a K-Book export desk at the Frankfurt Book Fair

The culture ministry and the Korea Publication Industry Promotion Agency are running an export consultation desk with 15 Korean publishers at the Frankfurt Book Fair (Oct. 7–11, 2026). A dedicated booth showcases 89 titles from the new “K-Book Global 100” project.

2026 Hangeul development honors go to eight people and two groups

The ministry will honor eight individuals and two organizations for advancing Hangeul and the Korean language. The late Seok Geum-ho, founder of font company Sandoll, who developed about 1,000 Korean typefaces over 40 years, receives the Silver Crown Order of Cultural Merit posthumously. The ceremony is on Oct. 9 at Sejong Center.
