BIFF takes its programs beyond the theaters

The Busan International Film Festival, running through Oct. 15, is extending its programs beyond screening halls. They include master classes by Alfonso Cuarón and Rintaro (Oct. 8–10), Actors' House fan sessions, and free Open Talks and Outdoor Stage Greetings with no advance registration, while “Neighborhood BIFF” runs at 18 locations including Busan, Yangsan and Seoul. From this year, the Busan Award for Best Film winner is eligible for submission to the Academy Awards' Best International Feature Film category.
