Hangeul Week, Oct. 6–17, marks the holiday's centennial

Hangeul Week (Oct. 6–17) marks the 580th anniversary of Hunminjeongeum and the 100th Hangeul Day under the theme “Hangeul by My Side.” Gwanghwamun Square hosts Hangeul Hanmadang (Oct. 6–8), an eve celebration (Oct. 8, 7 p.m.) and a projection of the 24 letters as constellations (Oct. 8–11, 8–11 p.m.).
