Unis (Korean: 유니스; stylized in all caps or as U&iS) was a South Korean girl group formed and managed by F&F Entertainment through the survival reality show, Universe Ticket. The group consisted of Hyeonju, Nana, Gehlee, Kotoko, Yunha, Elisia, Yoona, and Seowon. They debuted on March 27, 2024, with the extended play (EP) We Unis.[10] The group disbanded on September 26, 2026 following the end of their contract term.[11]
1. Name

The group's name is derived as an abbreviation of "U&I Story", as well as "UNiverse Is Starting", which symbolizes the group's desire to continue writing its own story of achieving their dreams that began in Universe Ticket.[12]
2. History
2.1. Formation through Universe Ticket and pre-debut activities
Unis was formed through the SBS reality survival show Universe Ticket, which aired from November 18, 2023, to January 17, 2024.[13][14] The show brought 82 contestants from around the world, primarily in South Korea, Japan, China, Thailand, Myanmar, Mongolia, Vietnam, France, USA, the Philippines, and Canada, to compete to debut in a multinational girl group.[15]
Before appearing on the program, several members had already been active in the entertainment industry. In 2017, Hyeonju was a member of the girl group Good Day under the name Lucky,[16] and competed in The Unit: Idol Rebooting Project.[17] However, she was eliminated in the third elimination round and redebuted in Cignature in 2020 under the name Belle.[17] In 2019, Elisia was cast in a guest role on the Philippine television drama series Nang Ngumiti ang Langit.[18] In December 2020, Seowon appeared as a contestant on the reality survival show Miss Trot 2.[19] Sometime after the show, Seowon signed a contract with Lean Branding.[20] and went onto make her official debut as a soloist on April 24, 2021, with the release of her first digital single, "Shoulder Dance".[21] In March 2021, Yoona joined the music group and YouTube collective Play With Me Club formed by PocketTV, and graduated from the group on March 25, 2022.[22] In October 2021, Nana competed in Who Is Princess?.[23] She ranked fifth and made her debut as a member of a five-member girl group Prikil in May 2022.[24]
2.2. 2024: Debut with We Unis and Curious
On January 18, 2024, it was reported that Unis will be debuting sometime in March. Later, it was announced that the group will be making their debut on March 27, 2024, with the extended play We Unis.[25] On March 7, the group released a promotion scheduler for the album.[26] On March 27, the group made their debut with the release of the EP We Unis, along with its lead single "Superwoman".[27]
On July 12, it was announced that the group will release their first single album Curious on August 6.[28] On July 14, the group released a promotion scheduler for the album.[29] On August 6, the group made their comeback with the release of their first single album Curious, along with its lead single as the same name.[30] On September 3, it was announced that the group will debut their first solo reality show Unibus Tour on September 24.[31] On December 13, the group's single "Curious" was placed on "50 Best Songs of 2024" by Billboard Philippines.[32]
2.3. 2025–2026: Swicy , Japanese releases, and disbandment
On March 6, 2025, it was reported that Unis would have a comeback sometime in April, 8 months after their previous comeback and followed by an Asian tour.[33] Later, it was announced that the group would be making their comeback on April 15, 2025, with the extended play Swicy,[34] and its lead single of the same name.[35] On March 31, the group released a promotion scheduler for the album.[34] On April 23, the group received their first music show win since debut with "Swicy", on the MBC M music program Show Champion.[36][37] On May 7, F&F confirmed Unis would kick off their first fan-con Asia tour with a Seoul, South Korea concert at CG Art Hall on June 8, followed by shows in Japan in Tokyo and Osaka for June 15 and 20.[38] On June 7, Unis released the special digital single "See you in my dream" as a surprise fan song to expresses gratitude to fans for their endless love and announces the beginning of a new journey together.[39] On June 21, an additional fan-con in the Philippines was announced for September 9 at New Frontier Theater.[40] On July 9, Unis released the digital single "Shaking My Head" with Japanese singer and songwriter noa through various online music sites.[41] On August 28, Unis unveiled the cover art for their Japanese digital single "Moshi Moshi".[42] On September 12, Unis released the first Japanese digital single "MoshiMoshi" with an English version on September 15.[43][44] On December 17, Unis released the second Japanese digital single "Mwah...".[45]
On January 9, 2026, F&F Entertainment confirmed Unis would hold a concert, 2026 Unis 1st Tour: Ever Last beginning in Philadelphia on January 30 and followed by shows in 14 other cities.[46] On March 3, F&F Entertainment confirmed Unis would be holding a fan meeting, 2026 Unis Tokyo Fanmeeting Moshi Moshi This is Unis in Tokyo, Japan on March 29.[47] On June 18, it was announced that UNIS would make their comeback on July 31, 2026, with their first Japanese mini album.[48] On July 31, the group made their comeback with the release of the first Japanese EP Uni Sparkle!, along with its lead single "GimmeSummer".[49] On September 8, the group released a remake of "Sky Land, Star Land", a hit song from the 90s by the duo B.B.[50]
On September 22, F&F Entertainment announced the group would disband on September 26.[51] On September 23, it was announced that members Elisia and Yunha recorded the title track "Wonderful Life" for the Korean drama Mission: Mompossible.[52][53] On the same day, the group released their final single, "Milky Way", co-written by members Hyeonju, Nana, Elisia, and Yoona.[54][55] The group officially disbanded on September 26 with their final music video for "Milky Way" released on the same day.
