KATSEYE Paris concert touching incident
KATSEYE, the multinational girl group run by HYBE and Geffen Records, began its first arena tour, The Wildworld Tour, in Dublin on Sept. 1, 2026. During the 'Time Lapse' segment of the Sept. 9 show at Paris's Accor Arena, when members walk the aisles and hold fans' hands, Megan said on the fan platform Weverse that someone grabbed her chest. She said she still wanted to connect with fans but asked them not to touch members inappropriately. The incident reached the top of r/kpop's monthly list and was covered by Korean and international outlets.

What happened
According to reports, 'Time Lapse' is the part of the show where members leave the stage, walk the floor aisles, look at fans and hold their hands. In a Weverse message that day Megan said she loves this moment but wrote, in effect, that someone grabbed her chest and left her a bit spooked. She added that keeping it respectful lets everyone share the moment safely.
The primary basis for the account is Megan's own message. The coverage reviewed here does not identify the audience member or say whether the venue or police received a report.
1,2,4Why it is an industry issue
Audience walk-throughs deliberately shrink the distance between artist and crowd, so security staffing and route design determine how safe they are. KATSEYE is HYBE's first girl group to debut in the U.S., and this is the group's first arena tour. How to keep close-contact segments while protecting artists at large venues remains a question for the label and promoters.
Megan did not call for ending fan interaction. She asked fans to keep holding hands but respect boundaries, which differs from some online posts that framed it as the end of fan service.
