This course moves from the web-novel-born Solo Leveling and webtoons into the concept of the Korean Wave, then back to Winter Sonata (2002) and Jewel in the Palace (2003), from before the term was common. It continues through Psy, Minari, Youn Yuh-jung, Teo Yoo and Hong Sang-soo, cases recognized on stages abroad, supporting the title Korea the World Noticed First.
