BTS reaches 10 billion Spotify streams in one year, a first for a group

BTS is the first group to pass 10 billion Spotify streams within one year, label BigHit Music said on Oct. 16. Streams of its songs more than doubled from 4.5 billion the year before. The label said the fifth studio album "Arirang," which came out in March, has drawn over 5 billion streams by itself.

Why it matters Individual artists including Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande and Bad Bunny have hit this figure before, but BigHit Music said no group had until now.
