YENA's 'Catch Catch' — the 100M-view milestone and the China challenge boom
YENA released 'Catch Catch', title track of her fifth EP LOVE CATCHER, on March 11, 2026. A dance challenge on Douyin made it a hit in Chinese-speaking markets first; in Korea it peaked at No. 4 on the Melon Top 100. It passed 100 million Spotify streams on Sept 30, and on Oct 3 news of '100 million MV views' was widely shared in overseas fan communities. That figure combines two uploads — on YENA's channel and on Stone Music's.

A hit that broke in China first
Right after release a dance challenge spread on Douyin. Per Star News, related hashtags passed 250 million views by late March and 900 million by early May, and both the Korean and Chinese versions charted on QQ Music's weekly Korean chart.
In Korea the song entered the Melon Top 100 at No. 8, peaked at No. 4 and was still around No. 18 six months later (Joynews24). It passed 100 million Spotify streams on Sept 30 — an overseas trend feeding domestic chart performance.
3,4,5How the '100 million' was counted
K-pop MVs are often uploaded both to the artist's channel and the distributor's. 'Catch Catch' went up on YENA's channel and Stone Music's on March 11. The '100 million' reports of Oct 3 did not say which upload they counted.
Checking both public counters on Oct 9, Hallyu Wiki found about 56.91 million on YENA's channel and 51.38 million on Stone Music's. Together they exceed 100 million, but neither upload alone does, so the milestone should be read as 'combined official uploads'.
