fromis_9: which agency are they with, and how many members are there?

Agency: ASND since January 2025

The current agency is ASND. ASND announced on January 26, 2025 that it had signed exclusive contracts with Song Ha-young, Park Ji-won, Lee Na-kyung, Lee Chae-young and Baek Ji-heon, and Ilgan Sports described ASND as a newly founded agency. The previous agency was Pledis Entertainment, a HYBE label, which announced on November 29, 2024 that the exclusive contracts of all eight members would end on December 31. Before Pledis, the agency at debut was Off The Record Entertainment, while Pledis had handled production from the debut album onward. NME described the ASND move as the group's first management change since August 2021.

Member count: nine at debut, five today

• Nine members (January 2018 – July 2022). The debut lineup was Roh Ji-sun, Song Ha-young, Lee Sae-rom, Lee Chae-young, Lee Na-kyung, Park Ji-won, Lee Seo-yeon, Baek Ji-heon and Jang Gyu-ri.²
• Eight members (August 2022 – December 2024). On July 28, 2022 Pledis announced that Jang Gyu-ri would end her fromis_9 activities and her contract with the company early, as of July 31. The statement explained that the other eight members had signed new exclusive contracts with Pledis at the August 2021 transfer while Jang kept her original contract terms, and that the group would continue as eight from August, including scheduled activities in Japan.⁴
• Five members (January 2025–). All eight left Pledis on December 31, 2024, and ASND's January 26, 2025 announcement covered only Song Ha-young, Park Ji-won, Lee Na-kyung, Lee Chae-young and Baek Ji-heon. On November 7, 2025 H1GHR MUSIC RECORDS announced that Lee Seo-yeon had joined the label and was preparing a solo album for November under the name Y:SY. No report checked for this page announces a new agency contract for Roh Ji-sun.^12,13

How the team name was kept

After the Pledis contracts ended, the open question was whether the five could keep using the name fromis_9. In its January 26, 2025 announcement, ASND said use of the team name was "still under discussion with the former agency." Two months later, on March 26, ASND posted the five members' new profile photos and videos on its official social accounts with the tag "#fromis_9." On March 27 YTN reported ASND's statement that it had "recently concluded a smooth agreement with former agency Pledis Entertainment on use of the team name." ASND called this "a meaningful result that combines Pledis's consideration in sincerely supporting the members' future with ASND's passion," and said new projects and concerts were in preparation. The albums and concerts ASND has released since have all gone out under the name fromis_9.

What they are doing now: 2025–2026 activities

• September 4–6, 2026, start of the Asia tour. The group played three nights at Korea University's Hwajeong Gymnasium in Seoul to open the 2026 fromis_9 Asia tour TOMORROW GLOW. As of that report, the remaining countries and dates were to be announced later.¹⁸

Are they disbanding? What is and isn't known

• No disbandment has been announced. Pledis's November 29, 2024 statement was about the end of exclusive contracts, not a breakup or an end to the group's activities. None of the 2017–2026 reports used here carries a disbandment announcement for fromis_9.⁵
• The group continued as five. On January 26, 2025 ASND said the five members had "chosen to continue as a team," and the team-name agreement followed in March.^6,9
• Activity has continued since. A sixth mini album in June 2025, an 11-city world tour from August to October 2025, a Japanese debut in April 2026, a second full-length album in July 2026 and an Asia tour from September 2026 have all gone ahead under the fromis_9 name.^{11,14,15,17,18}
• What has not been disclosed. No report checked here gives the length of the members' contracts with ASND. As for why three members did not stay, nothing beyond the official wording has been made public: Pledis said it had "discussed each member's future and direction at length," and ASND said choosing to continue as a team "must have taken much thought and courage."^5,6
